Looks like everyone had a good time this past weekend. Sorry I missed it!
The past 20 years have been pretty good. I went to college and have a job working with persons with developmental disabilities. I get to work from home and that is wonderful! I married Ben in 1996-he was in the class of 87! We had Lily in 2003 and she started Kindergarten this year. She loves it. We still live in
Springfield and live near Washington Park.
Well the past 18 months have been pretty tough. Some of you know that mom passed away in 1992 of a rare lung disease, Primary Pulmonary Hypertension. My sister was diagnosed with it and has had it for 4 years. She is awaiting a double lung transplant at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. I was diagnosed with it in February 2007. I am currently taking 26 pills a day and hanging in there. I get tired and short of breath. I go to Barnes about every 6 months and go to a doctor here once a month for blood levels. There is a website if anyone wants to learn more about PPH-it is phassociation.org.
I still see a few people from Riverton-we just went to Hawaii in May with Heather Sexton (class of 89) and her husband! That wasnice just to get away and think of nothing!
We are living life to the fullest since we never know what is going to happen!

Where do I start! Thanks for posting. Boy, I sure missed you at the reunion. Actually there were a lot of folks asking about you. Lily is beautiful!
I hope we can catch-up on things. Drop me an e-mail when you get a chance. jgrannis@logicalperformance.com.
Your friend,
Jon G.
It is good to hear from you- sorry you missed the party. Your daughter is beautiful, she looks a lot like you. You look about the same as high school. Prayers go to you and your sister. Rose
It was nice to hear from you and see how your family is doing. How did they all end up on different coasts!! Dad is in Girard on the Lake down there. They just moved about 4 years ago.
Well Tracy's husband was in navy & is retired now- they just loved Whidbey Island. She was "lucky" Mom & Dad picked her to live close to when he retired. I think they moved in 04. Terri's husband has relatives in S.C. & the loved it there. They moved there when he retired from air force. I guess I'm just a midwestern girl at heart. Who knows where life will take us though. As I was reading your blog - softball memories came back. Oh the good times! It is good to know you Dad is doing ok. Tell him HI! Rose
I am sorry that you missed the reunion. It would have been nice catching up.
You have a beautiful family.
I am sorry to hear about you and your family's medical problems. Isn't your sister's name Lisa?
I will say a special prayer for you all.
Yes it is Lisa that is waiting for the transplant. She stays with us everyone once in a while when she is really feeling down. Looks like you had fun at the reunion! I do not remeber you not finishing with us! I guess I always had you there in spirit! I am glad that you are the person you are today!
I am glad that your family is doing well. Tell them all from me! Sounds like you still get to see them quite a bit!
I sent a message to your personal e-mail- mine is bdklaves@comcast.net
Hi Denise,
You look great! And Lilly is so cute. I would have loved to see you and to catch up in person at the reunion but I understand. We have so many great memories from high school volleyball and elementary and junior high softball. Remember the yellow jacket summer softball team - that was so much fun. Take care of yourself and keep in touch. I would love to meet you for lunch some time. Rhonda (McClintock) Reagan. email: reagan0305@comcast.net
It was good to hear from you Rhonda. Your family is beautiful. I do remember those yellow jacket days and of course the volleyball days! Things were far less complicated! My e-mail is bdklaves@comcast.net!
Denise:
Are you getting my e-mails? I sent one early last week. Then followed up with one to you saying I got your "test" e-mail. Let me know.
--Jon
Jon-I did not get your e-mail! I will check my junk e-mail to make sure you are not going there!
Denise:
I sent three today. Two from my phone and one from Outlook. Did you receive them?
--Jon
Nope! I do not think that you are sending them-just saying that you are :)
Denise:
I am serious! I just sent three more. One just bounced back. I think I am getting blocked by ComCast. No worries. I will send you an e-mail from another personal account.
--Jon
I got it! I sent one back answering all your questions!
Denise-your family is just beautiful! I was shocked to hear about your PPH, and your sister as well. I will be praying for you and your family and we put you all on the prayer list at church. My sister (Jamie) and my mom say to tell you hi and they miss you. Mom is in Phoenix(remarried)-He has brain cancer and not expected to last to much longer. We don't know if she will go back to Illinois or come to ATL with Jamie and I. Jamie lives 4 houses up the street from me-it's wonderful. Do you remember all the crappy jobs we got at Brother James Court? I heard you were there for sometime, how is everyone there? Brother Rapheal? If you see him, tell him Jamie and I say hi. Also tell him that Kent and I are still married, he told me that every wedding that he ever catored ended up in a divorce-ha. I'm going to do some research on PPH- I didn't realize that it's hereditary. I think of you and your mom often-my mom still refers to her as her little dego/wop (sp?)friend. You know there is no offense there as my mom is also Italian. Wish you could've been at the reunion. My e-mail is kleka1@charter.net please keep in touch. love you, julie
With the PPH, when mom had it,the told us it was not hereditary, but of course research now shows that it is! Your family is beatiful. I cannot belive that the girls are that old-I remember your mom talking about the "baby" Tell your mom and Jamie Hi!! Hope they are well. Sorry to hear about your moms husband (mike??) I do remember all those crappy jobs!! Heather Carter is still at SDC and I still talk to her. She is finally getting married in May of 2009! Br. Raphael, Luke and David are in the St.Louis area all living together. I hear from Rapheal every once in a awhile and Luke sends some pretty good jokes!! I will let Rapheal know that you are still married as are we!! So he did a few good things! You can e-mail me also-bdklaves@comcast.net
